Ivo Boscarol (pron. Eevo Boscaról), born 15 April 1956, is the founder and CEO of Pipistrel, a producer of ultralight and light aircraft, based in Ajdovščina, Slovenia. Boscarol is most known as an aircraft designer and entrepreneur. == Early career == Boscarol was born in 1956 in Postojna, Slovenia, at the time also part of Yugoslavia. His father August Boscarol, a machine engineer, spent several young years as a test pilot at the Aermacchi, an Italian aircraft manufacturer. Family lived in Ajdovščina, a town in western Slovenia near which a small military airfield was located. After elementary and high school in Ajdovščina Boscarol studied economy at the University of Ljubljana. From 1976 to 1986 he was involved in publishing, owned a studio, in photography (official photographer at the Šentjakobsko gledališče theatre in Ljubljana 1976 - 1980), was an advertising manager of the student radio station in Ljubljana (1976 - 1978), a manager of several musicians and rock bands. 〔 Boscarol also organized several art photo exhibitions, including nudes.
